This trail begins at the rodeo grounds and heads south to the Nutrioso area.  Named for Hank Sharp, a real local character who after leaving the Colorado area, moved his family to a farm in Nutrioso where he raised his seven children alone after the death of his wife. It has been rumored that he was a member of the Butch Cassidy gang, but his Arizona neighbors and relatives know him only as an Apache County deputy sheriff.
