This trail begins at the rodeo grounds and winds southeast to the Sipe's Wildlife Area. The White Mountains of Arizona are well known for its Rocky Mountain trophy elk herd. Sipe's Wildlife area was created by the Arizona Game & Fish to allow visitors access to these incredible animals.  The prime time to view the bull elk is at the start of his mating season or "rut" late August to mid-September.  Hearing a bull elk bugle is a thrill of a lifetime!
